Spårvagn
A spårvagn, commonly known as a tram or streetcar in English, is a rail vehicle that runs on tramway tracks along public urban streets. These tracks are typically embedded in the road surface, allowing the spårvagn to share space with other traffic. Spårvagnar are powered by electricity, usually drawn from overhead lines via a pantograph. They are an integral part of public transportation systems in many cities worldwide, offering an environmentally friendly and efficient mode of transport.
The history of the spårvagn dates back to the mid-19th century with the advent of horse-drawn trams.
