Sozialplänen
Sozialpläne, often translated as social plans, are agreements that aim to mitigate the negative social consequences of significant business changes, most commonly mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale restructuring. These plans are typically negotiated between a company's management and its employee representatives, such as works councils or trade unions, in countries with strong labor laws and co-determination principles. The primary objective of a Sozialplan is to protect employees by outlining measures to cushion the impact of job losses, transfers, or changes in working conditions.
Key components of a Sozialplan can include provisions for severance pay, retraining and further education programs
