Solvaterar

Solvaterar is a Swedish verb used in chemistry to describe the process of solvation, where solvent molecules surround and interact with a solute in a solution, forming a solvation shell that stabilizes the solute and facilitates dissolution and reactions. The resulting interactions are dominated by electrostatic forces, hydrogen bonding, dipole interactions, and sometimes coordination to metal centers. The extent and structure of solvatering depend on the solvent, solute properties, and conditions such as temperature and concentration.
