Solmizing
Solmizing is a vocal music education technique that uses syllables to represent the notes of a musical scale. The most common system, known as movable-do solfège, assigns syllables to the scale degrees: do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, ti. In this system, "do" is always the tonic (the first note) of the scale, regardless of whether the key is major or minor. This allows singers to identify and sing intervals and melodies relative to the tonic, promoting a sense of tonality and pitch accuracy.
