Sokszínséget

Sokszínűséget, often translated as diversity, is a concept that refers to the presence of a wide range of differences within a group or system. In a biological context, it signifies the variety of life forms, encompassing genetic diversity, species diversity, and ecosystem diversity. Genetic diversity refers to the total number of genetic characteristics in the genetic makeup of a species. Species diversity is the variety of different species within a given habitat or ecosystem. Ecosystem diversity relates to the variety of habitats, biotic communities, and ecological processes in the biosphere.

Beyond biology, sokszínűséget is also applied to social and cultural contexts. Social diversity can include variations in ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and physical or cognitive abilities.
