Sofnæmi
Sofnæmi is a term derived from Icelandic that describes a feeling of weariness or tiredness, particularly associated with being overexposed to something. This can refer to physical exhaustion, but more commonly it implies a mental or emotional fatigue resulting from prolonged exposure to a particular subject, situation, or even an overabundance of a specific sensory input. It suggests a saturation point has been reached, leading to a lack of interest or even aversion.
The feeling of sofnæmi is often a result of repetition. For example, one might experience sofnæmi towards
