Skriptidele

Skriptidele is the Estonian allative (and dative) plural form of the noun skript, meaning “to/for the scripts.” Skript is a loanword from English script and is used in Estonian to refer to both written scripts used in theatre and film, and to computer scripts or small programs. The standard forms are skript (singular nominative), skriptid (plural nominative), skriptide (genitive plural), and skriptidele (allative/dative plural).

The allative plural skriptidele indicates direction toward something or for the benefit of something. In practice, skriptidele appears in contexts such as directing actions at scripts, assigning tasks to scripts, or referring to materials intended for scripts. For example, a sentence like “See on suunatud skriptidele” can be interpreted as “This is directed at the scripts.” In computing contexts, the form may occur when discussing automation or scripting tasks that involve or target multiple scripts.

Skriptidele also reflects regular Estonian noun inflection patterns for foreign-origin words ending in -t, with the genitive plural ending in -ide and the allative/dative plural ending in -idele. The term remains common in technical, educational, and media discussions in Estonia, where both theatrical and programming usage of skript are encountered.
