Skandinaavian is a term that can refer to several related concepts, primarily concerning geography, culture, and linguistics. Geographically, it most commonly denotes the Scandinavian Peninsula, which includes Norway and Sweden. However, the definition often expands to include Denmark, forming what is known as Scandinavia. This broader interpretation is frequently extended further to encompass Iceland and the Faroe Islands, collectively referred to as the Nordic countries.
