Sisäkasvatuksessa, or indoor cultivation, refers to the practice of growing plants within an enclosed environment, shielded from the natural elements. This method allows for greater control over growing conditions such as light, temperature, humidity, and nutrient delivery. It is employed for a variety of reasons, including growing crops out of season, cultivating plants in climates unsuitable for their growth, or for specific horticultural or research purposes.

Commonly, sisäkasvatuksessa takes place in greenhouses, hydroponic systems, or even dedicated grow rooms. Greenhouses utilize transparent materials to capture solar energy while protecting plants from adverse weather.
