Sirppilämmönvaihtimia

Sirppilämmönvaihdin, known in English as a plate heat exchanger, is a device designed to efficiently transfer heat between two or more fluids. These fluids are typically kept separate by thin metal plates. The design of a sirppilämmönvaihdin is characterized by its stacked arrangement of corrugated plates. These corrugations create turbulence in the fluid flow, which enhances the rate of heat transfer. They also provide structural support and create channels for the fluids to pass through.

The fluids flow through alternate channels between the plates. One fluid flows through one set of channels, while the other fluid flows through the adjacent set. Heat is then conducted through the plates from the hotter fluid to the colder fluid.
