Singleoccupation refers to a situation where an individual is primarily engaged in and derives their livelihood from a single type of work or profession. This can be for a sustained period, often a significant portion of their working life. The term can also be used to describe a job market or economy heavily reliant on a particular industry or a limited range of occupations.

Historically, many societies were characterized by singleoccupations, with individuals inheriting trades or farming as their sole means of support.
