This involves making real-time adjustments to the trajectory of the projectile or the direction of the beam to compensate for factors like target movement, wind, and the projectile's own flight characteristics.

Targeting systems are employed in a wide range of applications, from military ordnance like guided missiles and artillery to civilian uses such as precision agriculture, surveying, and even some forms of automated manufacturing.
