Signaalinvahvistus, also known as signal amplification, is the process of increasing the amplitude or magnitude of a signal. Amplification is necessary when a signal is too weak to be effectively processed, transmitted, or detected.

In electronics, signal amplifiers are typically built using transistors or vacuum tubes.
