Shetucket
Shetucket is a historic coastal community located in New Haven County, Connecticut, within the town limits of St. Joseph. The area is situated on the shoreline of the Long Island Sound and is bisected by Shetucket Creek, a tidal tributary that historically provided a modest source of irrigation and transportation for local farms. The name Shetucket is derived from an Algonquian word meaning “the place where the water flows."
