Sfäärilisus

Sfäärilisus refers to the property of being spherical, meaning possessing the shape of a sphere. A sphere is a perfectly round geometrical object in three-dimensional space that is the surface of a completely round ball. Every point on the surface of a sphere is equidistant from its center.

In various fields, sfäärilisus has important implications. In astronomy, celestial bodies like planets and stars are often approximated as spheres due to gravity pulling their mass towards the center. The degree of sfäärilisus can be measured, for example, by comparing the equatorial and polar diameters of a planet.
