Sesbania

Sesbania is a genus of flowering plants in the pea family, Fabaceae. The genus includes about 50 species of shrubs and trees found in tropical and subtropical regions worldwide. These plants are often fast-growing and are well-adapted to a variety of conditions, including waterlogged soils and drought.

Species of Sesbania are commonly known as sesban, sesbania, or rattlebox. They are characterized by their pinnately compound leaves and showy flowers, which are typically yellow, orange, or red.
