Sekundite
Sekundite is the name given in theoretical mineralogy to a proposed mineral species that has not been observed in nature. It is used primarily in discussions of mineral classification and nomenclature as an example of how a new mineral name could be defined and communicated, rather than as a description of an existing specimen. Because sekundite has not been confirmed in any rock sample, no authentic chemical formula, crystal structure, or physical property set exists in the standard mineral catalogs.
Etymology and naming conventions are informal in this context. The name follows the conventional -ite suffix
