Seegrasart
Seegrasart is a term used in German to refer to a seagrass species, i.e., a member of the aquatic flowering plants known as seagrasses. It is not a single scientific name but can denote any species within the major seagrass genera, including Zostera (eelgrass), Posidonia, Halodule, Halophila, and Syringodium. Seagrasses inhabit shallow, clear coastal waters in temperate and tropical regions and are rooted in soft sediments. They form underwater meadows that can extend over large areas and are adapted to submerged life through tissue suited for saline water and low light.
