Sedulius
Sedulius was a Christian poet and grammarian who lived in the 5th century. Little is definitively known about his life, but it is generally accepted that he was Irish or possibly of Irish descent, and that he was active in Gaul. His most famous work is the "Carmen Paschale" (Easter Song), a five-book epic poem in Latin hexameter detailing the events of the Old and New Testaments, with a particular focus on Christ's life and resurrection. This work was highly influential and widely read throughout the Middle Ages, earning him a place among important early Christian poets.
