Schützenfest

Schützenfest, also known as marksmen’s festival, is a traditional event celebrated primarily in Germany and some other European countries. It is a festive gathering that commemorates historical shooting guilds and their role in community defense. The festival often features a combination of shooting competitions, parades, music, and social activities.

Historically, Schützenfests originated in medieval times when local marksmen’s clubs or guilds organized events to demonstrate their skills with firearms and crossbows.
