His signature hit song, "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)," released in 1994, became a global phenomenon, topping charts in numerous countries.

Larkin was born with a stutter, a condition that profoundly influenced his music. He learned to incorporate his stutter into his scat singing, transforming a personal challenge into an artistic signature.
