Sandal

A sandal is a type of open-toed footwear consisting of a sole held to the foot by straps or thongs. The design ranges from simple flat soles with a single Y-shaped thong that passes between the big toe and second toe to more elaborate constructions with multiple straps, buckles, or Velcro, and sometimes including arch support. Materials vary and include leather, rubber, foam, textile fabrics, and synthetic alternatives.

Historically, sandals are among the oldest forms of footwear. Earliest examples appear in ancient Near Eastern

In the modern era, sandals are mass-produced in countless styles, from flip-flops to sport sandals designed
