Samavirtalämmonvaihdin
Samavirtalämmonvaihdin, also known as a parallel flow heat exchanger, is a type of heat exchanger where the two fluids flow in the same direction. This contrasts with counterflow heat exchangers where the fluids move in opposite directions. In a samavirtalämmonvaihdin, the hot fluid enters at one end and exits at the other, while the cold fluid simultaneously enters at the same end and also exits at the same end.
The design of a samavirtalämmonvaihdin typically involves a series of tubes or channels through which one
Samavirtalämmonvaihtimet are generally simpler to construct than counterflow designs. However, their thermal efficiency is typically lower.
