SaintEudes
Saint Eudes is a name associated with a French saint, though often it refers to Saint John Eudes. John Eudes was born in 1601 and died in 1680. He was a French priest and theologian who founded the Eudists, a religious congregation of priests. He was also instrumental in the foundation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Refuge. John Eudes was known for his extensive preaching, especially during times of plague and war, and for his devotion to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. He wrote several influential works on spirituality and theology, including works on the love of God and the devotion to the Virgin Mary. His canonization took place in 1925. He is recognized as a saint by the Catholic Church.
