Sagbama

Sagbama is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. It lies in the Niger Delta region and comprises a collection of riverine communities. The administrative headquarters are in Sagbama town.

Geography and people: The area is characterized by mangrove forests, creeks, and a network of waterways that shape transportation and daily life. The population is predominantly of the Ijaw ethnic group, and Ijaw languages are commonly spoken alongside English.
