Saddelrörskopplingar, often translated as saddle clamps or pipe saddles, are mechanical fittings used to connect a branch pipe or a tapping to a larger main pipe without cutting or altering the main pipe. These fittings are typically made of metal, such as ductile iron, cast iron, or steel, and are designed to be clamped around the circumference of the main pipe. The saddle component has a hole or outlet that aligns with a corresponding opening in the main pipe.

The connection is usually made by bolting two halves of the saddle clamp together around the main pipe. Once the saddle is secured, a tap or valve can be attached to the outlet of the saddle, allowing for the controlled diversion of fluid or gas from the main pipe.
