Sacagaweas
Sacagawea, also known as Sakakawea, was a Lemhi Shoshone woman who played a significant role in the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Born around 1788, she was born into a family of Shoshone hunters and gatherers. Her father, Cameahwait, was a prominent chief, and her mother, Sacagawea, was a skilled hunter and gatherer. Sacagawea was known for her intelligence, resourcefulness, and strong will, which made her an invaluable member of the expedition.
