Sabari

Sabari, also spelled Shabari, is a figure in the Hindu epic Ramayana. She is described as a tribal, forest-dwelling devotee who lives during Rama’s exile in the Dandakaranya region. In many versions of the narrative, she greets Rama and his companion Lakshmana as they travel through the forest and offers them hospitality.
