STATsäätelytekijät
STATsäätelytekijät, known in English as STAT regulatory factors, are a group of proteins that play a crucial role in the development and function of the immune system. These factors are part of the Janus kinase (JAK) and signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT) pathway, a fundamental signaling cascade in cells. When a cell receives a signal, such as from a cytokine, it triggers a series of events. This typically involves JAK enzymes phosphorylating STAT proteins. These phosphorylated STATs then dimerize and translocate to the nucleus, where they bind to specific DNA sequences and regulate the transcription of target genes.
The STAT family consists of several members, each with distinct roles in cellular processes. For example, STAT1
