ShMo, also known as SHMO or The Shmoo, is a fictional character created by cartoonist Al Capp in his comic strip Li'l Abner. The Shmoo is a small, plump, black-and-white creature with large, expressive eyes and short limbs. It is notable for its unique ability to provide whatever food or material goods its creator desires simply by being wished for. For example, if a person wished for a fried chicken dinner, a Shmoo would transform into one.
