Sähkövastusmatto

Sähkövastusmatto, often translated as electric heating mat or resistance mat, is a type of electric floor heating system. It consists of a thin heating cable embedded within a flexible mat. The mat is designed to be laid directly on the subfloor, typically beneath a thin-set mortar or tile adhesive, and is usually covered by the final floor covering.

The core component of a sähkövastusmatto is its resistive heating element. When an electric current passes through this element, it generates heat through the Joule heating effect. The mat is engineered to provide a consistent and even distribution of warmth across its surface area, making it suitable for a variety of applications.

These heating mats are commonly used for comfort heating in residential and commercial spaces, particularly in areas where direct radiant heat is desired, such as bathrooms, kitchens, and living rooms.
