Säätykeskuksien
Säätykeskuksien refers to the societal estates that existed in Finland during the Swedish and Russian rule. These estates were a fundamental part of the social and political structure, defining an individual's rights, obligations, and place in society. The primary estates were the clergy (papisto), the nobility (aatelisto), the burghers (porvaristo), and the peasants (talonpojat). Each estate had its own representation and privileges, often codified in law.
The clergy, comprising bishops, priests, and other church officials, held significant moral and often political influence.
These estates met in the Diet of the Estates (säätyvaltiopäivät), which was the legislative body of Finland
