Rückwärtsmanöver, literally translated as "reverse maneuver," refers to any action where a vehicle or entity moves backward. In a general context, it simply describes the act of reversing direction.

In aviation, a Rückwärtsmanöver is not a standard flight maneuver. Aircraft are designed to fly forward, and deliberately attempting to fly backward is extremely dangerous and impractical. Such an action would likely lead to a loss of control and a stall. While some specialized aircraft might have very limited backward movement capabilities for ground handling, it is not a recognized flight maneuver.
