Røykventilasjon
Røykventilasjon, often translated as smoke ventilation, refers to a system designed to control and remove smoke from buildings during a fire. The primary goals of smoke ventilation are to improve visibility for occupants to evacuate safely and to assist firefighters in their rescue and firefighting operations. Effective smoke control can prevent smoke from spreading to escape routes, such as stairwells and corridors, and can also help to maintain structural integrity by limiting the temperature rise within the building.
There are two main types of smoke ventilation systems: natural and mechanical. Natural smoke ventilation relies
