Röntgen_tutkimuksia is the Finnish term for X-ray examinations. These are diagnostic imaging procedures that use a small amount of ionizing radiation to create images of the inside of the body. X-rays pass through soft tissues but are absorbed to varying degrees by denser materials like bone. Detectors, such as photographic film or digital sensors, capture the pattern of X-rays that emerge from the body, which is then processed to form an image.

Special precautions are taken for pregnant women and children. Following the examination, a radiologist interprets the images and provides a report to the referring physician.
