Röntgenpilti refers to an X-ray image, a diagnostic tool used in medicine to visualize the internal structures of the body. The process involves passing X-rays through a patient's body, and these rays are absorbed to varying degrees by different tissues. Denser tissues, like bone, absorb more X-rays and appear white on the resulting image, while softer tissues, like muscles and organs, allow more X-rays to pass through and appear in shades of gray. Air-filled spaces, such as the lungs, appear black. This differential absorption creates a shadow image, revealing information about bones, organs, and potential abnormalities like fractures, infections, or tumors.
