Röhrenheizelementen
Röhrenheizelementen, often translated as tubular heating elements, are a versatile electrical resistance heating devices. They consist of a resistance wire, typically made of Nichrome, coiled and encased within a metal tube. This tube is usually made of stainless steel, copper, or Incoloy, chosen for its corrosion resistance and heat conductivity. The space between the resistance wire and the tube is filled with an electrically insulating and thermally conductive powder, most commonly magnesium oxide. This powder ensures electrical insulation while efficiently transferring heat from the resistance wire to the outer surface of the tube.
The principle of operation is straightforward: when an electric current passes through the resistance wire, it
