Rundwicklungen

Rundwicklungen (literally “round windings”) is a German term used in several technical fields to describe winding or coiling around a circular form or a winding that follows a circular path. The expression has no single, formal definition, and its meaning is highly context dependent.

In electrical engineering, rundwicklungen commonly refer to coils wound on circular or ring-shaped cores, such as toroidal inductors and transformer windings.
