Ruiskuvaluyksikkö
Ruiskuvaluyksikkö, often translated as injection molding unit, is a fundamental component of an injection molding machine. Its primary function is to melt and homogenize plastic material and then inject it under high pressure into a mold cavity. The unit typically consists of a barrel, a screw, and a heating system. The screw rotates within the barrel, advancing plastic pellets towards the front. As the plastic moves, it is subjected to heat from external bands and friction generated by the screw's rotation, causing it to melt and become a viscous fluid. At the front of the screw is a non-return valve, which prevents the molten plastic from flowing backward during the injection phase. When the screw reaches its forward position, it acts as a plunger, forcefully injecting the molten plastic into the mold. The speed and pressure of this injection are critical parameters controlled by the injection molding machine to ensure proper filling of the mold and the quality of the final molded part. The design and specifications of the ruiskuvaluyksikkö, including its diameter, screw geometry, and heating capacity, are chosen based on the type of plastic being processed and the size and complexity of the part to be molded.
