Rosuastatyna
Rosuvastatin is a medication belonging to the statin class of drugs. It is primarily prescribed to lower cholesterol levels in the blood. High cholesterol, particularly elevated levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, is a significant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases such as heart attacks and strokes. Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting an enzyme in the liver called HMG-CoA reductase. This enzyme plays a crucial role in the body's production of cholesterol. By blocking this enzyme, rosuvastatin reduces the amount of cholesterol synthesized by the liver.
In addition to lowering LDL cholesterol, rosuvastatin can also increase high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, often referred
