Rosaare is a rural municipality in the fictional nation of Nordhaven, located in the northern Lowlands. It lies in a broad river valley, about 60 kilometers south of Nordhaven's capital. The municipality covers roughly 32 square kilometers and has a population of about 4,800 residents. The name Rosaare appears in records from the 15th century; its etymology is unsettled, with scholars proposing derivations from words meaning “rose” and “meadow” or from a river-name element.
