Roquetas

Roquetas, commonly referred to as Roquetas de Mar, is a municipality in the province of Almería, in the autonomous community of Andalusia, Spain. It lies on the Mediterranean coast in the Poniente Almeriense region, southeast of the city of Almería, and is part of the metropolitan area of Almería. The municipality runs along a coastal strip that includes several beaches and resort areas.

Roquetas de Mar comprises coastal districts such as Roquetas de Mar proper and Aguadulce, both known for their beaches and promenade facilities. The area features a long line of beaches including Playa de Roquetas, Playa de Aguadulce, and other seaside amenities that attract residents and visitors throughout the year. The locality hosts a range of hotels, apartment complexes, and service businesses geared toward tourism, making beach tourism a central component of the local economy. The Club de Golf Playa Serena is a notable recreational facility within the municipality.
