Romanée-Conti is a single-vineyard Grand Cru wine produced by Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) in the village of Vosne-Romanée, in the Côte de Nuits subregion of Burgundy, France. The wine is named after the Romanée-Conti vineyard, a monopole of the estate, which covers about 1.8 hectares on the slope above the village. The wine is one of the most celebrated and expensive in the world, known for its rarity and highly regarded quality.

Production is limited: only a small portion of each harvest is bottled as Romanée-Conti, with annual production typically in the low thousands of bottles, corresponding to roughly 450-600 cases. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for an extended period, often with a high proportion of new oak, before release. Winemaking is traditional and meticulous, with careful vineyard management, hand harvesting, and careful selection of fruit.

In its youth, Romanée-Conti tends to display delicate perfumes of red berries, rose, and spice, with bright acidity and fine tannins. With bottle age, it develops complex notes of forest floor, truffle, tobacco, and pronounced mineral character, gaining length and elegance. The wine is renowned for its aging potential, frequently evolving for several decades in bottle.

The name Romanée-Conti also denotes the Grand Cru vineyard itself and the estate’s flagship wine, which has become a benchmark for Pinot Noir and a symbol of Burgundy's premier wine culture.
