Rollenkonzepts is a term used in sociology, organizational theory and related disciplines to describe the concept of social roles. A Rollenkonzept refers to the set of expectations, rights, duties and identities associated with a particular social position, and the way an individual internalizes and enacts that role in interaction with others. The concept helps explain how people understand what is expected of them and how they behave in different social situations.

Key components of a Rollenkonzept include role expectations (what others anticipate from the role), role performance (how the person actually behaves in that role), and role identity (the self-perceived connection to the role).
