Rolkoppelingen
Rolkoppelingen, also known as roller clutches or one-way clutches, are mechanical devices that transmit torque in one direction only. They function by allowing rotation freely in one direction while positively engaging and transmitting torque in the opposite direction. This is typically achieved through a system of rollers or sprags that are held in place by an outer race and an inner race. When torque is applied in the driving direction, the rollers are wedged between the inner and outer races, creating a locked connection. When torque is applied in the opposite, or overrunning, direction, the rollers disengage, allowing the inner race to spin freely within the outer race.
Rolkoppelingen are employed in a wide variety of applications where precise control of motion or prevention
