Rockero

Rockero is a Spanish-language term used to describe a person who is a fan or devotee of rock music, or the rock music culture in general. It can describe a listener, a musician aligned with rock aesthetics, or a scene associated with rock.

The word comes from rock plus the suffix -ero, used in Spanish to form agent nouns or demonyms; its exact emergence is unclear but it became common in Spanish-language media and popular discourse during the late 20th century as rock music gained prominence in Latin America and Spain.

Rockeros are associated with attending live concerts, collecting records or band merchandise, and adopting fashion influenced by rock subcultures (such as leather jackets, denim, and band logos). They participate in genres such as classic rock, hard rock, punk, alternative rock, and metal, though the term is not limited to a single style.
