Rkaaviot is a fictional town in the northern highlands of Nyssara, a continental setting used in various fantasy narratives. It lies along the lower stretch of the Rkaav River, just above a broad floodplain, and is surrounded by conifer forests. The name Rkaaviot is derived from the old Nyssaran language, meaning "bridge of rain."

Geography and climate: The town sits on a high plateau at roughly 600 meters above sea level. The climate is cool and wet, with relatively mild summers and heavy autumn rains.

History: Rkaaviot was founded in the 11th century by itinerant traders and craftspeople. It received a town charter in 1235 and evolved into a regional market center. The town endured a siege in the late 14th century and a major fire in 1689, after which many structures were rebuilt in stone.
