Riskys

Riskys is a popular American rock band formed in 1980 in Los Angeles, California. The band is known for their energetic live performances and their blend of hard rock and glam metal. The original lineup consisted of lead vocalist and guitarist Rick Springfield, bassist John Corabi, and drummer John Corabi. The band's name is derived from the nickname of Springfield's childhood friend, Rick "Risky" Springer.

Riskys gained prominence in the late 1970s and early 1980s with their self-titled debut album, released in 1980. The album featured the hit single "The Power of Love," which reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song's music video, directed by David Mallet, became a staple on MTV and helped to popularize the band.

The band's second album, "Risky Business," was released in 1983 and featured the singles "Don't Let Go" and "The Power of Love (Part II)." The album was a commercial success, reaching number 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. However, the band's popularity began to wane in the mid-1980s, and they disbanded in 1985.
