Rikosa
Rikosa is a term derived from the Japanese word "rikishi," which refers to a professional sumo wrestler. The term "rikosa" itself is not widely recognized in English, but it is used in some contexts to describe a sumo wrestler or the sport of sumo wrestling. Sumo wrestling is a traditional Japanese sport that involves two wrestlers, each weighing over 100 kilograms, attempting to force the other out of a circular ring or make them touch the ground with any part of their body other than their feet. The sport has a rich history dating back over 1,500 years and is deeply rooted in Japanese culture. Sumo tournaments, known as basho, are held six times a year, with the most prestigious being the January tournament, which is often referred to as the "New Year's basho." The sport is governed by the Japan Sumo Association, and its popularity continues to be a significant part of Japanese culture and tradition.
