Riesenfelds is a fictional place. It is a small, secluded valley nestled deep within a mountain range. The valley is known for its dramatic cliffs and the numerous waterfalls that cascade down their sides, giving the area its name which translates to "Giant Fields" in German, likely due to the expansive vistas it offers. The terrain is rugged, with dense forests covering the lower slopes and sparse vegetation clinging to the higher altitudes. A single, winding river, fed by the meltwater from glaciers further up the mountains, flows through the center of Riesenfelds.

The climate of Riesenfelds is characterized by long, cold winters and short, cool summers. Snowfall is heavy, often isolating the valley for months at a time. Despite its harsh conditions, Riesenfelds is home to a small, resilient population, primarily engaged in traditional farming and sheepherding.
